HERBASTUS DE CREPON

Mystery shrouds the identity of Herbastus, apparently of Danish origin, but unlikely to have been a son of King Harald II bluetooth as usually suggested. He married Cyrid (perhaps of Danish or Swedish royal descent). Herbastus probably had the following children. However, it is possible the list was produced in the past by someone assuming all persons in that era noted as being "de Crepon" were siblings, as otherwise it is remarkable that so many siblings should have had such "illustrious" descendants:

[HERB301] Herbastus de Crepon (born c.906), Forster de Arques, perhaps married Cyrid.

[FZOS321 ] Herfast de Crepon is described under HEREFORD (OSBERN) EARLDOM.

[HERB312] Senfrie/Sibell de Crepon perhaps married [TMON311] Hugh de Montgomery, see SHREWSBURY (MONTGOMERY) EARLDOM.

[HERB318] Avelina de Crepon married 1. [BOLE351] Osbern de Bolebec, see BOLEBEC; then 2. [BERD329] Seigneur Thorold de Pont-Audemer (see HARCOURT-1).

[HERB316] Gunora de Crepon married [NORM299] DUKE RICHARD I, see NORMANDY DUKEDOM.
