[LAND181] Carolmannus (born c.570) was Mayor of the Palace of Austrasia. He died c.615

[LAND191] Pepin the elder (born c.591) of Landen, Mayor of the Palace of Austrasia, DUKE OF BRABANT, married [CLOD192] Itta de Metz, daughter of [CLOD181] Arnoldus Meroving, see SALIAN FRANKS). He died c.640.

Pepin was a nobleman of the Frankish kingdom of Austrasia. He joined with Arnulf, Bishop of Metz, (see AUSTRASIA), in the struggle to overthrow Brunhild, Queen of Austrasia (613), and subsequently governed the kingdom as Mayor of the Palace for Brunhild’s successor, King Clotaire II (see CHILPERIC II). Itta died 639, and Pepin died 640.
