[LEWE631] William Lewer married by licence (at Royston, 24th March 1717) [BILL632] Elizabeth Billing. A few months before they were married, a William Lewer was baptised at Bourn (9th October 1716), with no parents shown, which could have been an adult baptism of William. William and Elizabeth had six children born and baptised at Caxton as follows:
Mary (baptised 29th May 1719), married (at Croydon, 23rd September 1739) Edman Abbun;
Martin (baptised 5th February 1721-22), lived 2 weeks;
William (baptised 29th November 1724);
Martin (baptised 22nd May 1726);

Elizabeth died at Caxton (buried there 26th June 1763).
[LEWE641] Richard Lure married 1. (at Bourn, 26th December 1751) [APTH642] Sarah Apthorp. They had eight children born and baptised at Bourn as follows:
Martin (baptised 28th September 1755), died at Bourn (buried there 21st February 1758);
Daniel (born 1758), died at Bourn (buried there 21st February 1758);
Mary (born 1758), died at Bourn (buried there 21st February 1758);
Mary (baptised 20th May 1759);
Sarah (-), married (at Hatley St. George, 18th December 1786) James Mumford of Potton, Beds;
Elizabeth (baptised 20th May 1764);
Jemima (baptised 15th December 1766), died at Harlton (buried there 9th January 1775);
[LEWE652] Ann (born 1768), married (at Croydon, May 1794) [LYNE651] Robert Lyon (born 1768, see LYON).
The family later moved to Harlton, where Sarah died (buried there 20th May 1773). Afterwards Richard of Harlton, widower, married 2. (at Caxton 25th July 1775) Elizabeth Shallow (widow of John Shallow). Elizabeth died at Caxton (buried there 6th December 1807), and a month later Richard died at Harlton (buried there 20th January 1808).
