[MAUL461] Piers I de Mauley (born c.1190), held custody of Corfe Castle with the care of Prince Richard (c.1214-1221), built Mulgrave Castle (near Whitby), married (c.1214) [TURH462] Isabel de Turnham (daughter of Robert, see TURNHAM). Isabel died by 1238, and afterwards Piers went on a crusade to the Holy Land where he died (1241).

[MAUL471] Piers II de Mauley (born c.1225, son & heir), Sheriff of Northamptonshire, married 1. (contracted 1237) Joan (eldest daughter of Piers de Brus), died before 1243; then 2. (before 1249) ---. He died before 1279.

[MAUL481] Piers III de Mauley (born 22nd July 1249, son & heir of Piers II & his 2nd wife), 1st Lord Mauley (1308), married (c.1273) [GANT392] Nichole de Gaunt (daughter of Sir Gilbert, see GANT). Nichole died 1284, and was buried at Hazelwood Chapel, near Tadcaster. He died 6th September 1308.
