[MEYN421] Robert I de Meynill, at the Domesday Survey (1086), held lands in Derbyshire as sub-tenant to Ralph FitzHubert at Stretton in Shirland, Egstow and Handley in North Wingfield (see RALPH FITZHUBERT); and also at Bolsover to William Peverel (see PEVEREL).
[MEYN431] Gilbert de Maisnille, mentioned in the Pipe Rolls (1131-35) being paid £80 on account of the old farm of Odo FitzRalf (who had died by 1129).
[MEYN441] Robert II (son & heir of Gilbert).
[MEYN451] Robert III (son and heir of Robert), married Isabella (daughter of Nigel de Rampton or de Fossard). Robt. Meynil is mentioned in the Pipe Rolls (1176 and1187), and died c.1194.
