[NEWM411] Sir William de Whatton, Notts, (born c.1091), married [FORO342] --- (daughter of [FORO331] Ralph Novi Fori, of Blyth Elton, Notts, who was probably a tenant of Roger de Busli, which Ralph helped with the foundation of Blyth Priory by Roger de Busli 1088).
[NEWM421] Adam de Novo Mercato aka de Neufmarche (born c.1121, son of William, but taking his mother's name) died 1161.
[NEWM431] Henry de Novo Mercato aka de Neufmarche (born c.1151) held the honour of Tickhill (Yorks). He married [TILL432] Denise de Tilly (daughter & heir of Otes de Tilly, see TILLY). Henry died 1178, and afterwards Denise married 2. (c.1182) Henry Puiset (illegitimate son of Hugh Puiset, afterwards Bishop of Durham and Earl of Northumberland, by Alice, illegitimate daughter of William II de Percy) who died c.1209-12, survived by Denise.
[NEWM441] Adam de Novo Mercato aka de Neufmarche (born c.1166), a Justice Itinerant, died September 1247.
[NEWM451] John de Novo Mercato aka de Neufmarche (born c.1196) married Pernel, died c.1243.
[NEWM461] Adam de Novo Mercato aka de Neufmarche (born c.1220) married 1. Elizabeth d'Aubigny; then 2. Joan, and died 1283. Joan died October 1315. There is an effigy, thought to be of Sir Adam, in the south aisle of Womersley Church.
