[ROLL351] Ilbert de Rollos (born at Roullours, c.1047), a Domesday tenant under Hugh of Chester.
[ROLL361] Richard I de Rollos (born c.1070, eldest son of Ilbert), married [MUSA362] Emma (daughter & coheiress of Enisant Musard, see MUSARD). He died 1129.
William de Rollos received the Barony of Bourne (Lincs) by Charter under King Henry I, the Barony have been in abeyance subsequent to Hugh de Evermer having had no issue. There is the possibility that William married Godiva de Evermer some time after the death of her father Hugh de Evermer, which is why the Barony had meantime been in abeyance. William too died without issue (1130), and the Barony then passed to his eldest niece Adeline (daughter of his brother Richard, who had meantime died) who was by then married to Baldwin FitzGilbert.
[ROLL372] Adeline (born c.1092, daughter & heiress of Richard [and niece & heiress of her uncle William]) married (c.1113) [BRIO441] Baldwin FitzGilbert (born c.1088-92, see FIRST HOUSE OF EU).
